Civil War Generals
Holo

The C.W.G. Holo serves as an aesthetic exploration aimed at addressing the limitations of under-lit aluminum foil. While aluminum provides a unique texture, it often results in a monochromatic palette when subjected to low-light conditions. To counter this, a vibrant juxtaposition was introduced by integrating the refractive color properties of holographic foil, focusing specifically on its chromatic spectrum. To bypass the physical limitations of under-lighting the material, the effect was hand-painted, allowing for a more controlled and dynamic interplay between light and surface.

The final composition is presented as a split-image diptych featuring an interpretation of the general as Salvador Dalí. This characterization serves as a nod to alternate concepts explored in earlier iterations of the C.W.G. project, merging historical portraiture with a distinctively avant-garde influence.
