P0RNTRAITS

Deep into the isolation of the pandemic, I felt a desperate need to reconnect through art, almost as a quiet rebellion against our collective loneliness. I began a series of live portraits via video conferencing, specifically turning to adult platforms. My goal was simple: I craved that traditional artist-model dynamic where we could collaborate on poses and perspectives.

I’ll admit, I walked in with a business-like mindset, expecting professional performers used to the "upsell." But the reality I encountered was heartbreakingly human. Almost every person I painted was there for the same reason I was—as a direct result of COVID-19. They weren’t just "workers"; they were individuals navigating their own survival through profound economic and personal displacement. What started as a search for a model became a humbling witness to how we were all just trying to get through the storm.
